Webinar: “SOMETHING’S GOTTA GIVE!” JUGGLING CARE WORK AND PAID WORK IN MID-LIFE

February 22, 2022

The CORE Caregivers Group hosted a session to showcase what research is revealing on mid-life caregivers (age 50+) who provide care to family or friends and the kinds of challenges that arise for those juggling care work and paid work. The session also prompted questioning on what kinds of resources need to be available to support these unique caregivers.

The guest speakers were:

  • Jacquie Eales, Research Manager, Research on Aging, Policies and Practice (RAPP)
  • Janet Fast, Professor and RAPP Co-Director, Dept. of Human Ecology
  • Kenya Kondo, Co-founder, MyMatchWork.com
  • Wendy Moyle, founder Wendy’s Errands

The CORE Caregivers Group connects community-based senior serving professionals, volunteers, and allied partners from all across Alberta who encounter caregivers in their work with resources and support in addition to education and collaboration opportunities.
